Matt and I went to Verbier today for lunch. On one of the last turns up the hill to the town we came across these funny skiers. At the first sight they actually look real.

A strange as this may seem to many of you, horse steak is a very popular meat in Switzerland. I know I know, not Mr. Ed you may say...

"Lauren Forever"
It was a little slow at work tonight and my friend Anna felt it necessary to tattoo me with "lauren forever" on my arm.

Rough day to be an American

Today in French class we played a little "what is the impression outsiders have on your country". In our class there were 5 people from 5 different countries. An American (me of course), an Australian girl (Shannon), a Suisse guy, a Tanzanian girl, and a Japanese girl. We were each to choose one adjective in French to describe what our impression is of the other countries. Who would have thought that America had the least favorable impression...

tolérant - tolerant
grand - big (land mass wise)
fort, bruyant - strong, loud
obèse - obese
bête - stupid

Australia had the best impression...at least I'm married to an Australian :)
